Repairs began after an overnight fire in a condominium building on Perdido Key earlier today (Wednesday). The fire started around 1 a.m. at the Sea Spray East condos. Firefighters climbed 10 flights of stairs with 100 pounds of equipment to fight this rooftop fire, and were able to contain it within the first 30-40 minutes. 4 units did receive some fire and water damage, with others just getting some water damage. All of the residents are safe, there were no injuries, and all have been relocated to different condos while they work on repairs. Escambia County Fire Rescue responded with the help of Orange Beach Fire Department.
