FHP Trooper Arrests Driver for DUI After Accident Close-Call

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Florida Highway Patrol trooper had a close call Sunday when a driver violated his right of way. The incident happened around 10:15 p.m. as a silver sedan, driven by 37-year-old Jennifer M. Starnes from Tennessee, turned directly into the trooper's path on State Road 291. The trooper managed to avoid a serious collision and then pulled over Starnes, who was arrested for DUI. She was released the next day on a $1,000 bond.
