FDOT Details U.S. 90 Resurfacing Plans for Santa Rosa County

The Florida Department of Transportation is opening its virtual project update for a major resurfacing effort on U.S. 90 in Santa Rosa County, with details becoming available Thursday at noon.
The project will resurface all existing travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, and paved shoulders along the corridor. FDOT also plans to add a left-turn lane for eastbound traffic and a right-turn lane for westbound traffic at Jeff Ates Road, plus upgrades to pedestrian features to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards. The improvements won't require any additional right of way purchases.
Project maps, drawings, and other materials will be available on the U.S. 90 resurfacing project webpage starting Thursday. The public can also review information by contacting FDOT Project Manager Dean Mitchell at (850) 415-9016, via email at dmmitchell@hntb.com, or by mail at 1282 Office Park Drive, Chipley, FL 32428. Construction bids are scheduled for late 2027.
