FDLE Warns of Cryptocurrency Scams Using AI, Warrant Claims

Florida law enforcement is warning about new twists on cryptocurrency scams.

FDLE says criminals are increasingly pitching fake investments claiming cryptocurrency will be used to buy equipment or infrastructure for artificial intelligence processing.

Other scammers are demanding cryptocurrency payments for supposed arrest warrants or missed jury duty.

FDLE reminds Floridians that law enforcement agencies do not accept cryptocurrency to clear warrants or resolve missed jury duty.
