FDA APPROVES FLORIDA DRUG IMPORTATION PLAN

Florida's plan to import certain prescription drugs from Canada is getting federal government approval. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today signed off on the plan, which was passed by state lawmakers and signed by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2019. The program is aimed at lowering healthcare costs by importing cheaper medications. The pharmaceutical industry is opposed to the plan.
