FAMILY OF FORMER MAYOR VINCE WHIBBS DONATES $50,000

The family of a former Pensacola mayor, Vince Whibbs, has established a $50,000 fund in his name to assist college students enrolled in automotive or diesel-related programs at Pensacola State College with tuition expenses. The scholarship also includes a $12,500 matching contribution from the Pensacola State College Alumni Association. Vince Whibbs served as the city's mayor for seven consecutive terms from 1977 to 1991.
