Escambia County voting surges ahead of Election Day

Early voting in Escambia County is tracking at about 32 percent as of Monday, with thousands of Florida voters already casting ballots before polls open statewide Tuesday for the midterm elections.

Across Florida, nearly 40 percent of registered voters have already participated in early voting or requested mail-in ballots ahead of Election Day, according to reports from North Escambia. The strong early turnout suggests robust participation in this year's midterm contests.

Escambia County voters can cast ballots at their regular polling locations Tuesday, or those who haven't already voted early can visit their designated precinct on Election Day. Poll locations open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
