Escambia County Commissioner Proposes Naming Road After Charlie Kirk

(Pensacola, FL) -- Charlie Kirk could get a permanent memorial in Escambia County. The county commission will meet today to discuss a proposal to rename a road in Myrtle Grove for the conservative podcast host. District Two Commissioner Mike Kohler is behind the proposal to rename a road Charlie Kirk Way or Turning Point USA Road. A local pastor calls it a great idea. There are detractors, though. A community activist tells WEAR News it's almost like a slap in the face and insult to the Black community.
