Escambia County Commission Moves Forward With Ban On Data Centers

Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- (Pensacola, FL) -- Escambia County is moving forward with its ban on large-scale data centers, but some residents don't think it's strong enough. The county commission met yesterday to discuss the ban that was first approved last month. Some residents wanted stronger language in the ordinance, but commissioners rejected those requests and decided to keep the ban's language as is. Commissioner Steve Stroberger said residents were asking them to lock a door that's already locked.
