ESCAMBIA CHILDREN'S TRUST REFERS AUDIT FINDINGS TO STATE AUDITOR

The Pensacola Little Theatre has returned $65-thousand dollars to the Escambia Children's Trust after an audit of their finances revealed improperly categorized expenses. This comes after the resignation of former Executive Direector Sid Williams who stepped down last May after concerns over disputed expenses at the theatre. The Children's Trust has sent the findings to the Florida Auditor General's Office. The refunded amount was part of a larger grant award aimed at supporting children's programs, and PLT administrators say that they are now focused on improving financial practices and preparing for the opening of a new rooftop bar as part of a $7 million renovation.
