Escambia Animal Welfare Rescues Fox Tangled in Netting Near Molino

A red fox is on the mend after getting trapped in netting on a property near Molino, thanks to quick work by Escambia County Animal Welfare officers.

A resident on Stout Road spotted the distressed animal and called animal welfare dispatch for help. Sergeants Roberson and Agrecy responded to the scene and carefully freed the fox from the netting that had become wrapped around it.

"Our officers were able to safely remove the netting and the fox is now recovering," according to the incident report from Escambia County Animal Welfare. The agency reminds property owners to secure netting and other materials that could trap wildlife, and to contact animal welfare immediately if they encounter an injured or entangled animal.
