Dothan Man Armed with Explosives Hospitalized After Mental Episode

DOTHAN MAN ARMED WITH EXPLOSIVES HOSPITALIZED AFTER MENTAL EPISODE

(Dothan, AL) -- A Dothan man is in the custody of a mental health facility after he was found to be in possession of explosives. The incident happened around Wednesday, when officers responded to a call from a person claiming there were a large number of federal agents surrounding his house. They arrived to discover the individual with two grenades strapped to a ballistic vest. After determining he was suffering from a mental health crisis, police negotiators were able to talk him into surrendering peacefully. There were no reports of injuries.
