DeSantis Reappoints MaryLynn Magar to State Board of Education

Governor Ron DeSantis announced today the reappointment of MaryLynn Magar to the State Board of Education, pending Florida Senate confirmation.

Magar, currently Vice President at Heartcare Imaging, Inc., previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2020, including a stint as Speaker pro tempore from 2018 to 2020. She hails from Martin County in South Florida and has been active in local civic organizations, including the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce and Northern Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce. She also served as a trustee for All Saints Catholic School.

The appointment requires approval from the state Senate before it becomes final.
