DeSantis Reappoints Leon Medical Centers CEO to Fish and Wildlife Commission

Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the reappointment of Albert Maury to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, according to the Governor's Press Office. Maury, who serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Leon Medical Centers, LLC, will continue his role on the state commission pending Florida Senate confirmation.

Maury brings business and nonprofit leadership experience to the position. He previously served on the Florida International University Board of Trustees and holds a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from FIU. The reappointment was announced Friday.

The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission oversees management of Florida's fish and wildlife resources, hunting and fishing regulations, and conservation efforts across the state. Commission members are appointed by the governor and require Senate confirmation.
