DeSantis Appoints Three to Apalachicola Water and Sewer District

Governor Ron DeSantis announced today the appointment of three new members to the Apalachicola Water and Sewer District board: Jimmy Gander, Torben Madson III, and Mark Milliken.

Gander is owner and vice president of JV Gander Oil Company and a former Franklin County School Board member. He's a Florida National Guard veteran who holds a bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida. Madson III owns and manages The PEO Law Firm and serves on the Franklin County Parks and Recreation Board. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami and undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. Milliken, president of Gulf Unmanned Systems Center, is a retired Navy Rear Admiral with experience as a senior manager at Wyle, Inc. and vice president of maritime solutions for Elbit Systems of America. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a degree in analytical management.

The appointments come as the Apalachicola area continues to manage water resource challenges in the region.
