DeSantis On Fox News

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Governor Ron DeSantis is glad to welcome another wealthy businessman fleeing higher taxes. Citadel hedge fund CEO Ken Griffin recently announced plans to expand operations in Miami and cut back operations in New York City. DeSantis told Fox News Channel last night Griffin and other billionaires are responding to the fact that Florida is a free and sane state that is not gonna do crazy things like New York City. DeSantis then criticized New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani for proposing a property tax hike while saying he wants to make housing more affordable. DeSantis adds Mamdani is a Marxist trying to push a leftist agenda, and he understands why people like Griffin would want to flee and embrace Florida.
