DEA WILL STOP THE PRACTICE OF SEARCHING PASSENGERS AT PNS

111524 (DOJ) Thanksgiving holiday travel is just days away. If you are heading to the airport, you will quickly notice changes at PNS. The Drug Enforcement Administration will pause its practice of searching passengers at Pensacola International Airport. The Department of Justice released an internal evaluation saying DEA has a policy in place for consensual encounters. Here is what we know task force groups will approach people, ask for consent to talk to them, and search their belongings, if necessary. The DOJ's report states the DEA has not followed this policy wasting law enforcement resources.
