Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump is reacting to the body camera footage released yesterday showing the killing of 23-year-old Senior Airman Roger Fortson. In a statement, Crump says in part " there is no question that the officer acted with impulse and a lack of proper training when he shot and killed Roger within seconds of the door opening". Crump goes on to say that "it is clear that this officer needs to be investigated and held accountable for the execution of Roger". During a news conference yesterday, Okaloosa Sheriff Eric Aden says that FDLE and the State Attorney's Office will determine whether the deputy's actions were justified and that "integrity and transparency" is their top priority.
