It looks like Escambia County will be working to add more public beach access points in Perdido Key. County Commissioners took up the issue at yesterday's meeting when discussing RESTORE Act funding. But the Perdido Key Property Owners Association says people who live in Perdido don't want more public access . Association President Charles Krupnick says the RESTORE funding should take residents' objections into account -- but Commissioner Jeff Bergosh told Krupnick that he has overwhelmingly been told by residents on the west side of the county that more beach access is needed. The funding would include around $3.6 million to acquire and construct more public beach access points. There's currently no word on a timeline for acquiring or building the access points.
