Charges Dropped for Local Veteran Accused of Computer Theft

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Local Marine veteran Brent Shavnore is no longer facing theft charges after state prosecutors dropped the case. Shavnore was charged in October for allegedly stealing a computer from Walmart by returning a gutted gaming PC for a full refund. He reported that the computer was incomplete when he'd purchased it, prompting the return. Bodycam footage from police revealed discussions on the case, but no conclusive evidence was found against Shavnore. He has since hired an attorney. The state attorney's office has not commented on why the charges were dropped.
