Century Town Council Votes to Hire Town Manager

CENTURY NEGOTIATING WITH POTENTIAL TOWN MANAGER -- David Wayne

Century, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The town of Century has reportedly entered negotiations with a potential town manager. Mayor Luis Gomez Jr. introduced the town council to Robert Brown at Tuesday's meeting -- they promptly set a special meeting for last night where the council voted to enter into negotiations. Brown reportedly has experience serving in Indiantown, Florida; Bell, California; and Muskogee Oklahoma; and OpaLocka, Florida. The whirlwind hiring comes after the town attempted to hire Robert Thompson several months ago, but he ended up taking a job in Oklahoma instead.
