Cantonment Man Charged in Downtown Pensacola Construction Site Theft

A Cantonment resident faces felony charges after authorities say he stole commercial light fixtures from an active downtown Pensacola construction site. Joseph Wade Walling, 52, of Twilight Drive, was arrested and charged with grand theft from a posted construction site, according to court records.

Walling entered a not guilty plea to the charge. The alleged theft occurred at a construction site in downtown Pensacola, where the fixtures were taken from a secured work area.

The case remains pending in Escambia County courts. Grand theft charges in Florida can carry significant penalties depending on the value of items taken and prior criminal history.
