BICYCLIST CRITICALLY HURT AFTER CRASH ON OLIVE ROAD

An 18-year-old bicyclist suffered critical injuries yesterday after being hit by a car while riding on Olive Road. Officials say the rider was riding against traffic in the designated bicycle lane at Charter Oaks Drive when the driver failed to yield the right of way and crashed into the bicyclist. The rider was taken to Sacred Heart with critical injuries after the crash. FHP says the driver was not hurt.
