BEAR FOUND DEAD FROM GUNSHOT IN NAVARRE

A bear was killed by an apparent gunshot wound in a residential neighborhood in Navarre last week, says the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). FWC officers were notified of this incident on July 25 at around 5:29 p.m. A bear response contractor removed the animal from the neighborhood. An investigation is ongoing. FWC says more information is to come when it's available.
