Baldwin County Schools to Redistrict Amid Rapid Growth

DAPHNE, Ala. — Baldwin County Public Schools is set to redistrict in Elberta, Daphne, and Central Baldwin due to significant growth, meaning students may be zoned for different schools next year. Superintendent Eddie Tyler noted that Baldwin County is the seventh fastest-growing area in the U.S., prompting the need for new schools to avoid overcrowding, like the portables currently at Belforest Elementary.

The opening of Jubilee Elementary next school year aims to alleviate this issue, while plans for W.J. Carroll to potentially become a second middle school in Daphne are also in discussion. Tyler encourages parents to attend upcoming public meetings to learn more about the changes and address their concerns.
