Baldwin County offers free battery disposal Saturday

Baldwin County residents have a chance to safely dispose of unwanted batteries this Saturday as part of National Battery Take-Back Day. The Solid Waste Disposal Authority is hosting the free event from 7 a.m. to noon, according to WKRG News 5.

The program gives residents an environmentally responsible way to get rid of batteries that might otherwise end up in landfills or regular trash. Battery disposal events help keep hazardous materials out of the waste stream and allow for proper recycling of valuable materials.
