Allentown Gets First Public Park With Basketball, Pickleball Courts

Northern Santa Rosa County residents now have a new community gathering space. Allentown Community Park opened this week next to the Allentown Volunteer Fire Department at 9482 Highway 89 in Jay, marking the first public park in the Allentown area.

The new facility includes basketball courts, pickleball courts, and a fitness court, along with dedicated parking areas. According to local reporting, the park represents a significant addition to recreational options for the rural community.

Plans are already in place for future improvements to the park, though specific details on those expansions have not yet been announced. The opening reflects ongoing efforts to enhance quality-of-life amenities in northern Santa Rosa County.
