This is an ongoing breaking news situation. Sheriff Chip Simmons made a statement that there is not an active shooter and that they responded due to a call that there may have been shots fired. They locked down so they could properly investigate and clear buildings. There is no victim and no shooter.

A little after 10am NewsRadio was informed of a possible active shooter at Corry Station. It was confirmed by Escambia County Sheriff's Office and was told it was still a live situation.
NASP east & west gates are closed now. Corry is closed and the Naval Hospital at NASP is on lock down.
Please avoid these areas as authorities defuse the situation.
