2025 Pensacola Leadership Class Renovates Old House to Benefit Nonprofit that Serves Homeless

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- This year's Pensacola Leadership Class has cut the ribbon on their class project -- and it's a big one. They renovated an old home to benefit Family Promise, a local non-profit that helps the homeless.

"This is a 1960s home... the typical 1960s home with bad carpet, Formica countertops, linoleum flooring," project leader Will Davis says the 2025 Leadership Class has worked since October to modernize the home. "We've gone inside and pretty much gutted it and redone it to bring it up to modern standards so families can come in as they're experiencing homelessness and have a place to stay until they get back on their feet."

The home is located on East Jordan Street, and the leadership class has been working on the project since last October.
