Woman Sentenced to 20 Years for Fentanyl Trafficking in Pensacola

41 year old Jorgina Ann Nichols was sentenced to 20 years in state prison on Thursday for trafficking fentanyl, following a no contest plea to multiple charges. Nichols faced two counts of trafficking in fentanyl, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of introducing contraband into a county jail facility. The charges stemmed from a traffic stop conducted by Pensacola Police last September, during which officers discovered over six grams of fentanyl, along with methamphetamine, cocaine, and narcotics paraphernalia. After her arrest, Nichols was taken to the Escambia County Jail, where she was later found in her cell with an additional ounce of fentanyl. Under Florida's drug trafficking statutes, her sentence must be served in full, and she has been assessed $150,000 in fines.
