Wind Advisory Continues for Panhandle; Gusty Conditions Could Down Trees

A wind advisory remains in effect across portions of the Florida Panhandle including the North Escambia area, with strong gusts expected to create an enhanced threat for downed trees and power outages through the weekend.
Saturday will be sunny with a high near 69 degrees, but the gusty winds are expected to persist. The combination of dry conditions and strong winds has also elevated wildfire risk across the region on Saturday, according to the forecast.
Residents should secure loose outdoor items and be prepared for potential power disruptions. Motorists should exercise caution, particularly on bridges and in open areas where wind gusts can be strongest.
