111724 (WEAR) Santa Rosa County officials are concerned. Water in Mulat Bayou is now polluted with sediment because of the construction of new homes. Santa Rosa Commissioner Bobby Burkett says some developers did not have a land clearing permit and did not install proper erosion controls. Thomas Cornelison, who owns properties along Furlong Road has received 32 citations and more than $35,000 in fines. Burkett says there could potentially be criminal charges pending.
