Warm Monday, then rain Wednesday as cold front moves into NW Florida

Pensacola-area residents can expect mild, breezy conditions to start the week before a significant weather shift midweek, according to the National Weather Service.

A strong cold front is expected to push through the region on Wednesday, bringing an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Though rain will be widespread, the weather service says the severe weather threat remains low, so damaging winds or hail are not anticipated.

The cooler air mass behind the front will settle in for the weekend, marking a notable change from today's milder start to November.
