Visit Pensacola Parting Ways With CEO After 6 Years

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Visit Pensacola is looking for new leadership. The board of directors voted Wednesday not to renew President and CEO Darien Schaefer's contract when it expires in September. Schaefer will stay on through the transition until an interim CEO is named. The board will then conduct a nationwide search for a permanent replacement. Just last week Schaefer touted tourism numbers that were up more than 23 percent over last year.
