UWF's Engineering and Construction Management Lab Building Opens

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The University of West Florida is celebrating the grand opening of Building 80, a newly remodeled facility dedicated to its civil engineering and Tyler Chase Norwood Construction Management programs. The renovation costing around $1.5 million and includes three new labs designed for hands-on learning with construction materials. The facility features a trade demonstration area for students to get practical experience in masonry, carpentry, and welding. Additionally, a soils lab will enhance the curriculum for students studying soil and concrete mechanics. Classes in Building 80 are set to begin in Fall 2025.
