UNRELATED CRASHES KILL TWO ESCAMBIA RESIDENTS IN MADISON COUNTY

Two unrelated crashes on I-10 in Madison County this week have claimed the lives of two north Escambia county residents. Officials say a 78-year-old Century woman died in a multi-vehicle crash on I-10 near the Madison Exit on July 1st. That happened during a rainstorm with diminished visiblity. Then on July 9th a 56-year-old Atmore man was killed near that same exit. FHP says that man was towing a boat and veered off the road for unknown reasons. When trying to get back onto the interstate the truck jacknifed and hit he guardrail.
