Two Young Girls Dead After Pool Drowning in Pensacola

Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- Two young girls are dead after drowning in a neighbor's pool in Pensacola Monday evening. Pensacola Police say they received a call after six-thirty p-m about two missing girls in the five-hundred block of Gerhardt Drive. After a search of the area, officers found the five and eight-year-old girls unresponsive in a neighbor's pool. First responders performed CPR and rushed both children to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
