Tropical System Getting Better Organized

A tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic is being designated Invest 91L by the National Hurricane Center. The system is slowly organizing and could become a tropical depression by late this week or weekend as it moves west-northwest. Forecasters give it a 50 percent chance of development in the next two days and an 80 percent chance over the next week. It's still too soon to tell if the system will affect Florida or the mainland U.S.
