Trial of Contractor Jesse LaCoste Nears Conclusion

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The state is set to rest its case this morning in the trial of a former contractor Jesse LaCoste. The 33-year-old is accused of defrauding homeowners, insurance companies, and subcontractors of over $2 million in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. LaCoste was indicted nearly two years ago after multiple homeowners reported he took payment without completing the work. If convicted, LaCoste faces up to 30 years in prison for each count. The defense is expected to present its case later Thursday.
