Teen Charged In Bay Minette Shooting, School Bus Nearby

Bay Minette, AL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- Bay Minette Police say a 17-year-old boy shot an 18-year-old man Thursday afternoon near Newport Parkway. The victim was taken to a Mobile hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his upper leg.

A school bus with children on board happened to be driving through the area during the shooting, though no kids were hurt.

Police are also charging a fifteen-year-old with possessing a stolen gun after determining he wasn't connected to the shooting itself. A twenty-three-year-old man detained alongside the teen shooter is still being questioned.
