Taddeo Campaign Launches Spanish-Language WhatsApp Channel for Florida Voters

Democratic nominee for Florida Chief Financial Officer Annette Taddeo has launched a new Spanish-language WhatsApp channel called Taddeo2Day, aimed at connecting directly with Hispanic voters across the state ahead of November's election.
The channel will provide subscribers with notifications about upcoming campaign events, updates, and election information in Spanish. Taddeo said the move reflects where many Hispanic families already communicate. "WhatsApp is how so many Hispanic families communicate every day, and we're using it to connect with voters in Spanish, share important election information, and make sure our community knows when and where to vote," she said in a statement.
The launch comes as Hispanic voters have emerged as a key focus in this year's midterm elections. According to a September 22 analysis by The New York Times, Democrats lead Republicans by 35 percentage points among Hispanic likely voters in national polling — 64 to 29 percent — underscoring the growing importance of engaging Hispanic communities before November.
Taddeo, who was born and raised in Colombia before immigrating to the United States, made history in 2017 as the first Latina Democrat elected to the Florida Senate. She is the only Latina on the Democratic ticket this cycle and is running on three campaign priorities: affordability, accountability, and anti-corruption.
