Swimming advisory issued for Wolf Bay in Orange Beach

Swimmers in the Orange Beach area need to be aware of a new precaution: the Alabama Department of Public Health has issued a swimming advisory for Wolf Bay after water quality testing came back showing concerning results.

The advisory means beachgoers should avoid swimming in that area until water conditions improve and testing shows it's safe again. Poor water quality can pose health risks to swimmers, particularly for young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems.

Wolf Bay, a popular recreation spot near Orange Beach, is about an hour's drive from Pensacola. While it's outside our immediate area, many Gulf Coast residents visit the Alabama beaches regularly.
