High-tech cameras are catching drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses in our area... Since March, Santa Rosa County has reportedly seen around 3,000 violations. Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson says anyone who passes a stopped school bus will "get what you get." Working the numbers, the county would average around 25 illegal Infractions per day. In Escambia County, the school district received only around 200 calls last year about violations. Both districts use the cameras to monitor the problem.
