A man was shot last night at the Red Roof Inn on Plantation Road. Escambia County deputies say it happened just after 1 o'clock this morning. According to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, the victim -- a 35-year-old man -- died from his injuries following the shooting, and a man was seen running from the scene. So far nobody is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
