Navarre, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Lilliana Boczar, an 11-year-old girl from Navarre, is raising funds for a specialized bed to accommodate her unique needs, as she is the only person known to have both Williams Syndrome and Rett Syndrome. These conditions have led to significant developmental challenges for Lilliana, including the loss of motor skills and difficulty in daily functions.
"She was three years old when she started regressing," Lillian's mother Mari Boczar told Channel 3.
Despite being mobile with some support, Lilliana cannot use a standard hospital bed safely. Her family has sought a "Cubby Bed" with safety features, but insurance claims have been denied three times. In response, her church organized a sneaker collection fundraiser, which has raised $1,800 so far.
