Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Shalimar man has been sentenced to over seven years in federal prison for illegally possessing firearms and ammunition. Zackery Chase Brunson was prohibited from owning guns because of prior felony convictions. During a search warrant executed at his home in January, federal agents found two rifles, a shotgun, three pistols, and multiple types of ammunition. Brunson pleaded guilty to possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon. The case was investigated jointly by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
