Senator Scott Calls for Reforming Flood Insurance Program

(Washington, DC) -- Rick Scott is pushing to reform the National Flood Insurance Program. Senator Scott announced yesterday he's introducing three bills that'll lower the cost of flood insurance. He says since its inception, the NFIP has been unfair to Florida policyholders. Scott says his bills will increase transparency, encourage more private sector participation and allow for a robust and affordable flood insurance market that gives homeowners flexibility.
