Second Red Bulb Added to Escambia County Fire Wreath

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Fire crews have added a second red bulb to the "Keep the Wreath Green" fire wreath after a house fire on Saturday morning. Firefighters arrived at a home on North.L Street early that morning to find heavy smoke in the kitchen. They quickly brought the fire under control, but the home suffered significant damage and the occupants were displaced. Investigators determined faulty electrical wiring in the kitchen walls started the fire. There were no injuries. Large wreaths with the campaign are on display at fire stations throughout Escambia County and the city. Each time firefighters respond to a structure fire with damage, a green bulb gets replaced with red to remind people of fire dangers.
