Scott, Moody Introduce Bill To Protect Immigration Agents

(Washington, DC) -- Florida's senators are pushing for more protections for immigration agents. Republican Senators Rick Scott, Ashley Moody and Tennessee's Marsha Blackburn introduced the Halo Act yesterday. It makes it a crime to obstruct, threaten or harass federal immigration enforcement officers carrying out their jobs. Scott says this is a commonsense measure to protect those who selflessly protect our nation. Moody says protecting our officers from threats is not optional, and it's essential to the rule of law.
