ScholarGPS Names UWF Professor 'Highly Ranked Scholar'

UWF PROFESSOR RECOGNIZED AS HIGHLY RANKED SCHOLAR BY SCHOLARGPS

A UWF biology professor has been recognized as a Highly Ranked Scholar by ScholarGPS. Dr. Wade Jeffrey was placed in the top .05 percent globally in life sciences. He's known for his research on bacterial function in the ocean and the effects of ultraviolet radiation on marine microbes. Jeffrey has authored 120 publications and raised more than $8-million for research projects. He's been with UWF since 1992 and serves as the Director for the Center for Environment Diagnostics and Bioremediation.
